CyberLink PowerProducer 6 Ultra is an excellent authoring tool which allows you to quickly convert your photos and videos into polished, professional Blu-ray and DVD video discs.

The program's wide file format support (now including MKV and FLV videos, as well as RAW photos) means it's easy to import your media. If it's not on file yet, you're able to import it directly from a camcorder. And wherever the footage came from, you can split, merge and trim the clips to make sure they're exactly as you'd like.

You get a good range of disc menu templates, too, which has been further extended in this version with some very impressive, full HD quality 3D-like animated menus. Any of these can be customised a little (you can change the background music, say, or the position of various elements), and you can apply them to your project in a click or two.

When you're finished then the program can burn your project to CD, DVD or Blu-ray disc. This version adds support for creating AVCREC discs, too, as well as burning side-by-side 3D discs (BDMV, DVD or AVCHD), although without any menus.

And if you really want to create a professional presentation, you might appreciate the inclusion of CyberLink's LabelPrint tool, which helps you design and print disc labels, covers and inlays. (It's simple and with limited templates, but should still prove useful.)

There aren't a great deal of improvements in PowerProducer 6.0, then, but the enhancements CyberLink have provided are well targeted, and overall the program is an impressive video authoring tool.

Please note that the trial build adds 10 seconds of a watermark page at the end of every video, and doesn't include the H.264 codec. You will receive the full build after purchase, with no limitations.

Special Information

Performance Issues?

Most system performance issues are often a result of other software clashing with your brand new software. For instance, security software can clash with a background process, such as a system maintenance tool or defragmentation software. Another cause of system slowdown, is a result of two software applications performing a similar task. As an example, Windows includes a firewall switched on as a default. Your new security suite is likely to include a firewall. You only need one firewall running. In this example, try turning off your system firewall.

Uninstalling Your New Software

Occasionally you may need to either temporarily or permanently remove your new software.

On a Windows computer, go to the Control Panel and choose Programs and Features. Locate the program within the list, then click it to highlight it. Finally, click the Uninstall button at the top of the list and follow the instructions to remove the program from your PC.

On an Apple Mac computer, using Finder, locate the Applications folder. Within the Applications folder, find the name of the application you wish to remove. Simply drag the icon to your Trash icon in your dock. Empty the Trash to remove the files from your computer.

Still Having Problems?

If you cannot solve your system performance issues or are struggling to remove your software, we advise contacting the software manufacturer. If you placed an order, see the section in the order which states Support options. Alternatively, go to the Contact Us page to contact store support directly.
